Magicpin announces its remote-first workplace policy

Local retail discovery services provider Magicpin said the company has adopted a remote-first workplace policy, empowering its employees to work from their locations. The Gurugram-based start-up operated by Samast Technology Private Limited had raised $60M in November 2021, to strengthen its hyperlocal retail market expansion and also the expansion of the team.

“While WFH became the norm since the pandemic began, we have been operating on a distributed and flexible workplace model since our foundation. We have been sympathetic to the needs of our employees to balance work and family obligations and given them the freedom to work remotely. Today, we’ve adopted Remote-First as our official workplace policy,” said Anshoo Sharma, CEO & Co-founder, Magicpin.

“In the Remote-First model of working, we encourage those who can to come to the office during the first week of every month. For those who are working from different parts of the country, our talented team has been building touch points with employees – both formal and casual – to make them more comfortable and connected, wherever they are,” said Brij Bhushan, COO & Co-founder, Magicpin.

The company is backed by investors like Lightspeed, Zomato, and Waterbridge claims to have 6 million active users and over 200,000 merchant partners across more than 50 cities in the country.
